Channel Your Inner Rock Star with Distressed Tights

Be creative and channel your inner rock star by making your own distressed and torn tights.  The trick is to use small scissors or a seam ripper to make small holes and then pull these holes to create streaks, holes, ladders and rips.   To make larger holes make bigger cuts and if you want the hole to stop growing further use clear nail polish or hair lacquer on the edges.

Customise the look with beads, brightly coloured ribbons, layer with coloured opaque tights or even team with stockings and suspenders or highlight a tattoo!

I like this tutorial from Amanda’s Photo Garden where small beads are added.  I love the finished look.
