Daisy Dukes and Pantyhose!

Did you know that the character Daisy Duke in the The Dukes of Hazzard wore pantyhose with her shorts?
The network censors in the 1980’s declared that the character would be too racy if she went barelegged in her denim ‘Daisy Dukes’. The shorts were so skimpy that the only way the producers could get them on air was for Catherine Bach to wear flesh-colored pantyhose to ensure that the shorts revealed no more of her than intended.
Instead of detracting attention the pantyhose highlighted her legs and popularized the wearing of hosiery by female short wearers in the general population.
Her legs, by the way, were once insured for one million dollars.
